I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints through some miraculous circumstances. I grew up in the Church during the 1980\u2019s, served a successful international mission and graduated from BYU. I am married in the temple and have a dear and loving wife and five children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have served in many callings, including six times as gospel doctrine teach, twice as a counselor in the bishopric, elder\u2019s quorum president, young men\u2019s president, twice as ward mission leader, high priest\u2019s group leader, and in various stake leadership callings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My family and I have lived around the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Being a member of the Church has been life-changing and I am forever grateful for the ways in which it has blessed my life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For many years I set aside problems I saw with the Church, including disparaties in truth claims and historical facts, the priesthood ban, patriarchy, and polygamy, under the belief that because it\u2019s all true, these were minor issues. My faith journey started in earnest when my children began to question issues with the Church, and I tried to help them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite my new perspective, there is much I still love about the Church and its people. Most of all I am grateful that it has given me a foundation for my belief in Heavenly Parents and in Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
